Mátrabérc Trail is a trail running event that not only means a big challenge year by year to many runners from Hungary and from foreign countries but also offers an excellent opportunity that everybody can try out his abilities by running through the highest mountain of the country. The track of the race, which goes through the whole mountain from east to west, follows the main ridge of the Mátra. 99 % of the trace is trail, four fifth of it is usually single-track ridge, with amazing diversified view. Along this breathtaking route you will reach the two highest peaks in Hungary, the Kékes (1014 m) and Galyatető (965 m). THE OVERALL TITLE OF THE EVENT IS: MÁTRABÉRC TRAILS, IT CONTAINS THREE DIFFERENT RACES.
